Used a CAD DWG file provided by Jacobs plume staff containing most recent approved 2-dimensional boundaries of CS-4, CS-21, CS-20 and FS-29. DWG file was opened in AutoCAD 2002 and saved as an AutoCAD Release 12 DXF file. DXF was processed using ArcInfo V. 8.2 DXFARC command to convert to stand-along temporary coverage, which was then subjected to AI CLEAN and BUILD command to compile topology. Preexisting EHGWTPLU was opened in ArcEdit, arcs for the four same plumes were selected and deleted followed by a CLEAN and BUILD process run on the coverage. With arcs still set as active feature, AI command GET was used to pull in the arcs from the temporary coverage. These were then run against CLEAN and BUILD, coverage was saved. Polygons were made the active feature and then indvidiual polygons were selected and added to region.plume using AI MAKEREGION command. Coverage was saved. Finally, working first through the arcs and then the region.plume, item attributes were updated to reflect plume name, main and secondary analytes, confidence (arcs only), ugl MCL for the main analyte, report title, associated date, and report source. CS-23 plume was also added for the first time. Preliminary delineations of CS-23 had been done for investigative figures employing two different shapefiles - one for the low-confidence boundaries (polylines) and the other for a circular gradient fill (borderless polygon) in shapefile format. The shapefiles were converted to temporary coverages using AI SHAPEARC command, then topology cleaned and built. AI GET command was used to add both to the EHGWTPLU coverage, which then had its topology cleaned and built again. The CS-23 arcs were attributized with CONFIDENCE = 'dash" (boundary not confirmed), and the CS-23 polygon was added to region.plume with appropriate attributization.
