Description
TOXMAP (http://toxmap.nlm.nih.gov) is a Geographic Information System (GIS) from the National Library of Medicine (NLM) that uses maps of the United States to help users visually explore data from the EPA's Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) (http://www.epa.gov/tri/) and Superfund Programs (http://www.epa.gov/superfund/index.htm). TOXMAP also overlays demographic data such as US Census population, income figures from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, and health data from the National Cancer Institute and the National Center for Health Statistics. This shapefile contains Superfund National Priorities List data from the EPA CERCLIS database. It has been edited by Silent Spring Institute to only show Massachusetts locations.

Shapefile clipped to Massachusetts boundary. Shapefile joined to superfund.txt file downloaded from TOXMAP site which contained location name and address information.
